Ms. Faye Woolf and Ms. Betsy Brown co-founded Trio in 2003.  The foundation for Trio extends back to 1995 when Ms. Woolf and Ms. Brown together founded the Woolf Group.  The Woolf Group was one of the first companies in the clinical research industry to provide clinical research professionals on an as needed basis solely to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry.  During their tenure at the Woolf Group, the company placed approximately 1000 Clinical Research Professionals (CRPs) with over 50 companies nationwide.
Faye Woolf, Chief Executive Officer, began her career in clinical research in 1992 when she founded The Woolf Company which planned and executed Investigator Meetings for CROs, pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.  She then co-founded TheWoolf Group and was President/CEO from January 1996 to April 2002.  As CEO of Trio, Faye plans and directs all aspects of an organization’s strategies, objectives, andinitiatives.  Faye is responsible for the short- and long-term profitability and growth of the company.  Faye provides expertise in a variety of clinical research concepts, practices and procedures. are they single
Betsy Brown, Chief Operating Officer, began her career in clinical research in 1985 working in an internationally focused non profit company that specialized in Women’s Health and HIV research.  In 1987 she joined a large international CRO as a Clinical Research Associate.  During her 9 year tenure with this company, she progressed into management in the Clinical Monitoring Group where she specialized in resourcing for the entire Clinical Monitoring Department.  As the Associate Director, she managed a staff of 7 CRA Managers and a staff of over 100 Clinical Research Associates.   Betsy was a co-founder and principal of the Woolf Group and was integral in growing that company to one of the premier clinical research staffing companies in the country.  As a Principal in Trio, Betsy brings this wealth of experience and expertise to her leadership of the operations and business development teams.
Robbie Franks, VP of Clinical Operations, has 18 years of clinical research experience.  Her clinical practice started in surgical intensive care nursing and moved into outpatient managed care.  Her pharmaceutical services career began in 1988 as a CRA.  She progressed from clinical monitoring and management into project management and ultimately into directing projects.  Robbie’s career includes 4 years with a large pharmaceutical company as well as small to large CRO settings.  Her experience includes large, global, full service program management; personnel management; study start up, maintenance and close out activities; proposal and budget preparation, negotiation and management; protocol and report writing and development of healthcare disease management programs.  She has clinical research experience across many therapeutic areas including: CNS, oncology (including disease modifying, pain, emesis, and fatigue), gastroenterology, endocrinology, urology and immunology/infectious disease.  At Trio, Robbie oversees the clinical operations group.
Dana Atkinson, Director of Clinical Quality Assurance, began her clinical experience as a Medical Technologist in a hospital.  She began her clinical research career in 1991 as a Medical Laboratory Data Specialist; from here she progressed into CRA work and then into Clinical Monitoring Management.  Dana has 15 years of combined experience in various therapeutic areas at a full service CRO and a Pharmaceutical/Biotech Company. Her primary emphasis has been in Clinical Monitoring/Clinical Operations. She also has experience in Clinical Development Training and Management.  At Trio, Dana is responsible for the oversight of SOPs, Training, Clinical Study Files, Proposal Development and Quality Control and Assurance activities. 
Megan O’Keefe, Director, Client Relations, began her career in the pharmaceutical industry back in 2000 by bringing together pharmaceutical executives and service providers through executive forums and conferences.  In 2003 she joined the CRO industry and was instrumental in growing the business for a niche CRO, as well a gaining valuable marketing exposure for the organization and its employees.  Megan’s career has consisted of building upon existing infrastructures and taking departments and companies to the next level through strategic marketing and consultative selling.  At Trio, Megan focuses on identifying clients that will benefit from Trio’s knowledge and experience with clinical trials and nurturing those relationships in order to build a true partnership.
